For Michael (1958 - Forever )

I cannot stop listening to your music
To all of your wonderful songs,

Those melodies and lyrics are dancing in my head
From the moment I awake in the morning
Until my day is through and I go to bed,

I can feel your heart and soul
In every single song,

That is how I know you are here
And will never truly be gone,

You took us on your journey with you
And it has indeed been quite a �Thriller',

You simply opened you heart to us
And encouraged us to take a look in the mirror,

You taught us to be mindful of all the �Billie Jeans',
To remember what you see and read
May not always be as it seems,

You called us the children of the world
And said this planet was our home,

You said let's make it safe for everyone
Make that change, Come On,

You told us you had faith in all we would do
That is why so many of us will forever cherish you,

We saw how unkind this world could be
To anybody no matter their stature,

Words can be cruel and cut so deep
I guess this all a part of �Human Nature',

You asked �Will You Be There'
The answer is simply yes,

Over the years our love and loyalty
Have indeed been put to the test,

But your beautiful spirit and giving heart
Leaves us �Speechless',

And to all those cynics out there
Who say there is nothing more that �This is It'

To all of you I can only say �Beat It',

For Michael, you have left a lasting legacy
For future generations to enjoy and see
You have indeed made your �History'
